PlanMEET

Community Guidelines

The rules everyone must follow so that people feel safe on PlanMEET, and the enforcement actions applied when they are broken.

Version 1.0 · Last updated 2026-08-21

Why these rules exist

PlanMEET is a platform where people share plans in order to meet in real life. That carries a higher responsibility than an online chat app: a connection made here ends up in an actual café, on a boat, or on a hiking trail.

These rules apply to everyone, without exception. The action taken when you break one depends on how serious the violation is.

Be real

  • Use your own photos. Using someone else's photo is impersonation.
  • Give your age, your name and your basic details accurately.
  • Use a single account. Creating a second account to evade a block is prohibited.
  • Do not pose as a celebrity, an institution or another person.

Be respectful

  • Accept rejection. A declined join request does not require an explanation.
  • Insults, humiliation and belittling are not acceptable.
  • Hate speech based on race, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not send persistent messages. If the other person is not replying, that is a reply.

Respect consent

Consent is required at every stage and can be withdrawn at any moment. Agreeing to join a plan does not mean agreeing to anything else.

  • Sending unsolicited sexual messages or images is harassment and is grounds for an immediate permanent ban.
  • Stop when the other person says they are uncomfortable.
  • If the other person wants to leave during a meeting, that is not open to discussion.

Respect privacy

  • Do not share another user's photos, messages or personal information without their permission.
  • Do not take screenshots and spread them on other platforms.
  • Do not try to find out someone's home or work address.

No fraud or commercial abuse

  • Do not ask people you meet through PlanMEET for money, and do not send them money.
  • Investment, cryptocurrency, betting or "guaranteed returns" offers are prohibited.
  • Do not use PlanMEET to sell products, services or event tickets.
  • Bulk messages directing people to other platforms count as spam.

No illegal or dangerous behaviour

  • Plans involving illegal substances, weapons or contraband may not be created.
  • Minors may not use PlanMEET. Report any account you believe belongs to someone under 18.
  • Messages containing threats of violence result in an immediate permanent ban and, where necessary, a report to the competent authorities.
  • Plans that put others at risk (driving without a licence, water sports without safety equipment, and so on) are removed.

Do not manipulate the platform

  • Sending requests using bots, automation or scripts is prohibited.
  • Bulk scraping of data is prohibited.
  • Attempting to influence the rating system artificially is prohibited.
  • Abusing the reporting system — organising mass reports against someone who does not deserve it — is itself a violation.

What happens after a violation

Enforcement is tiered; however, for serious violations the intermediate tiers are skipped and the most severe action is applied directly.

ActionWhen it is applied
WarningMinor first-time violations
Content removalA photo, plan or message that breaks the rules
Feature restrictionRepeated spam or persistent messaging behaviour
Temporary suspensionRepeated violations or confirmed harassment reports
Permanent banSexual harassment, threats, fraud, being under age, impersonation

Right of appeal

If you believe an action taken against your account is wrong, you may appeal. Your appeal is reviewed by a moderator other than the one who made the decision.

The appeal route is described on the Support page.
